The B.PREPARED project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Finance’s safety research funding program KIRAS, aims to design an emergency planning and decision support system for accidents involving hazardous substances that provides

• preparatory data collection,
• ongoing update of the threat picture based on reference scenarios,
• exchange of information with forces on site, and
• risk forecasts created using model calculations

as the basis for decision-making based on the current state of information.
