Fostering Resilience and Security: Security & Defence Research Day 2025 at TU Wien
by Johanna Zweiger
This week, DCNA was part of the Security & Defence Research Day 2025 at the Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), complete with its new walking robot and mobile lab. The event was a forum for exchanging ideas on security, defense, and disaster research, as well as the corresponding funding opportunities (including KIRAS, FORTE, and Horizon Europe), featured keynote speeches and discussions on topics such as crisis management, resilience, critical infrastructure, and cybersecurity. DCNA and the KIRAS project PostDisaster were also presented.
Many thanks to TU Wien (especially Thomas Rief, the DCNA contact person at TU Wien), as well as to the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the Federal Ministry of Finance, and the Austrian Ministry of Defence (BMLV) for their excellent collaboration in organizing this event!
